What we’re looking for:
We’re after an experienced client/account manager with a strong track record in retention and upselling.
Your Responsibilities:
Client Relationships: Know your clients inside out – their financial calendar, IPO plans, acquisitions, internal structure, key contacts’ birthdays and work anniversaries. Understand their success metrics and ensure they’re translated to your SEO strategist for impactful results.
Team Leadership: You’ll be the glue between our delivery teams, ensuring alignment to meet client expectations. While you won’t manage these teams directly, client satisfaction and retention rest on your shoulders.
Commercials: Track contract renewals, create retention strategies, and develop performance reports to maintain and grow accounts. Work closely with your SEO strategist to maximise upsell opportunities.
Project Management: Prioritise workloads based on commercial weight while maintaining high delivery standards. Manage client expectations, keep projects within scope, and prevent over-delivery.
Leading Direct Reports: Guide and develop one or two client execs, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities. Conduct one-to-ones, set clear career progression paths, and foster a positive, balanced work environment.
Company Structure:
We operate within a structured model, ensuring focus and efficiency:
Client/Account Manager – responsible for retention and client satisfaction.
Project Manager – ensures work is delivered effectively and profitably.
SEO Strategist – sets and delivers on KPIs.
Each pod consists of a client/account manager, one or two client execs, a dedicated SEO strategist, and SEO execs, handling a maximum of 10 clients.
What You Need:
Strong commercial acumen with proven account growth experience
At least 3 years as a client/account manager in a digital or SEO agency
Experience with project management tools (preferably Asana)
SEO or digital marketing experience
Team management skills
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to juggle multiple clients and deadlines under pressure
Benefits:
Holidays: 9-day fortnight (every other Friday off, paid), all Bank Holidays off, plus 3 extra paid days between Christmas and New Year.
Wellness & Lifestyle: Enhanced sick pay, 24/7 mental health helpline, free counselling, wellbeing resources, lifestyle discounts, and cycle-to-work scheme.
Career & Development: Monthly professional development planning and £1,000 annual development budget.
Parental Leave: Enhanced maternity, paternity, and adoption leave.
Flexible Working: Flexitime between 7:30 am - 8:30 pm, early/late starts, office access via booking system, and the option to work abroad.
